ANNUAL MADS GILBERT & SULLIVAN PRESENTATION
MADS has been producing annual Gilbert & Sullivan comic operas since 1964 in the intimate 300-seat auditorium of the parish hall at 651 Dufferin St. The next production, H.M.S. PINAFORE, will take place from Friday January 28th, 2011 to Sunday February 6th, 2011.
It will feature a cast of 50 with an orchestra of 18 presenting some of Sullivan's most beautiful music combined with Gilbert's comical satire on class distinction and the leadership of the British Navy. Artistic Director Laura Schatz assisted by Jennie Friesen, and Music Director Daniel Norman are sure to enhance MADS' reputation for family entertainment featuring traditional G&S staging with clever new touches along with outstanding singing by the chorus and soloists.
